Dance The Day Before New Year's!
2011. A year of hope, fear, paralysis and activism. Fight? Flight? Freeze? Fly! In the good company of friends old and new, let's celebrate that which holds fast and clear and alive amidst the furious blur of change: the eye of the heart, shared and seen and offered freely, against all odds. We'll dance, supported by music known and new, gentle and grand, in accord with this day, unlike any other day. Gather and warm up, 11-noon; opening circle @ noon, traveling together until 2pm. Western Sky Studio, 2525 8th Street, Berkeley 94710. Come for part or all, but do come! We need us. $10-$15 suggested donation. Cash a problem? Trade arrangements available: lucid.ocean@gmail.com. Love.

Hope and Fear, Pretending
In these miraculous times, the air (spirit) and the earth (body) are ripe with uncertainty, change, and possibility. The world wobbles: imploding, exploding, barely settling to note its 7 billionth citizen. Hope and fear, like shy and hard-headed partners, dance on opposite sides of the room, each pretending to ignore the other.
Join the impeccable possibility of moving with all there is, inside and out, in an atmosphere of support and inclusion. I humbly aspire to hold Soul Motion space with openness and humanity. You show up with who you are (again, or for the first time), and we see/feel/move with what happens. This is a moment among moments. We can do this!

Refuge: A Soul Motion Worskhop in the Foothills 9/10/11
Held in the embrace of Moonbear’s 30' yurt on gorgeous land in the Sierra foothills, we’ll inspire and be inspired by each other to move with confidence and courage. Traveling the spiral pathways to our most intimate dance, we’ll expand to include our fellow travelers in dialogue, discourse and divine prayer. We’ll also have the opportunity to walk the labyrinth adjacent to our dance space. Please bring water, lunch and whatever else you need to support you in this day of refuge and rejuvenation. Bask in supple guidance and spacious music. And we will dance. Oh, yes, we will dance.

The fine, fine wind that takes its course through the chaos of the world
Not I, not I, but the wind that blows through me!
A fine wind is blowing the new direction of Time.
If only I let it bear me, carry me, if only it carry me!
If only I am sensitive, subtle, oh, delicate, a winged gift!
If only, most lovely of all, I yield myself and am borrowed
By the fine, fine wind that takes its course through the chaos of the world
Like a fine, an exquisite chisel, a wedge-blade inserted;
If only I am keen and hard like the sheer tip of a wedge
Driven by invisible blows,
The rock will split, we shall come at the wonder, we shall find the Hesperides.
Oh, for the wonder that bubbles into my soul,
I would be a good fountain, a good well-head,
Would blur no whisper, spoil no expression.
What is the knocking?
What is the knocking at the door in the night?
It is somebody wants to do us harm.
No, no, it is the three strange angels.
Admit them, admit them.

Rising to the Occasion
Rooted in the soul's body,
Ready to rise and shine,
No matter what the weather,
Inside and out
Above and below
Around and within.

It Is a Good Day
Landforms, clouds. Trees in mist, always possible. Choice? Walk. Into, out of, through. And then we die.

the dynamic stillness
it is here
in the breath
it is here
in the stillness between breaths
it is here
in the active mind
it is here
in the resting mind
it is here
in the dream's panorama
it is here
in each moment of awakening
it is here
when all is well
it is here
when fear has nothing left to fear
even then
there is pure noticing
even then
there is no need for doing
no frantic searching
can find the obvious
no seeking needed
to find that which seeks
it is here
where it can never be lost
or found
from Gifts with No Giver: a love affair with truth
