Rumi's Wedding Night, Thursday in Rockridge
Rumi says,
I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.
What a relief to be empty!
At sunset on December 17, 1273, mystic poet Jelaluddin Rumi left the body. This day remains a celebration of his union with the Divine (his urs, or wedding night). Please join me this Thursday (2009's final gathering) as we aspire to enter the circle of the sacred, and, against all odds, dissolve the barriers to love.
